As reported by the British media outlet ‘Daily Mail’, Menkes, 79, expressed her disappointment with the Princess of Wales’ lack of enthusiasm for royal jewelry, especially in comparison to Queen Camilla, who seems to be much more delighted to wear it.

During a recent episode of her podcast, Suzy Menkes hosted Carol Woolton, the jewelry editor of the British edition of “Vogue,” and together they delved into Kate Middleton’s latest fashion choices.
Menkes commented that the Princess of Wales seems rather indifferent towards the unique and glamorous jewelry she has the privilege of wearing, suggesting that Kate only wears these royal pieces when absolutely necessary.
This apparent lack of passion for jewelry contrasts with Queen Camilla’s obvious joy and enthusiasm when she wears similar royal pieces.
According to Menkes, “The Princess of Wales is a bit of a disappointment about jewelry. She gives the impression that she only puts it on when she absolutely has to.”
According to the fashion expert, Kate fails to convey a sense of genuine love and delight for these stunning adornments.
On the contrary, she perceives a different attitude in the wife of King Charles III, noting, “She doesn’t seem to have Camilla’s joy at wearing jewellery.”
