The coin will be put on sale during the last quarter of the year, according to an order published in the Official State Gazette (BOE).

It will be available at the Bank of Spain, credit institutions, the Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre-Real Casa de la Moneda, as well as other authorized public and private entities.

The minting of this commemorative coin coincides with an important milestone in Princess Leonor’s life, her coming of age.

On October 31, the same day she turns 18, she will be sworn in to the Spanish Constitution, assuming new responsibilities as heir to the throne.
