2024 looks set to be a year full of important milestones for Queen Letizia and Princess Leonor.
Both have scheduled several key dates that will mark their activities over the next twelve months.
Princess Leonor’s agenda 2024
From official events to personal moments, we review the main commitments of the monarch and the heir to the Spanish throne.
- Military Parade (January 6): This event marks the first appearance of the year for Queen Letizia and will be the first time Princess Leonor participates.
- Visit of King Charles and Queen Camilla (late January or early February): UK King Charles and Queen Camilla will travel to Spain, Princess Leonor is expected to participate in an official event and wear for the first time one of the tiaras from the royal jewelry box and a ball gown.
- Princess Leonor’s military training (June and August): Princess Leonor will conclude her training at the Military Academy of Zaragoza in June and will begin her training in the Naval Navy in August.
- Princess of Asturias Awards (October): These awards, which are held every year, will be the first after Princess Leonor has come of age, suggesting that she will preside over them alone.
Queen Letizia’s agenda 2024
For her part, Queen Letizia in 2024, in addition to attending the Military Parade, will also appear on television, on Movistar+ participating in the special of Gomaespuma on Three Kings Day.
In February or March, she will make her first state trip of the year with King Felipe to the Netherlands.
On June 19 it will be a decade since her proclamation as Queen of Spain, following the abdication of Juan Carlos I.
On May 22 she will celebrate her porcelain wedding anniversary with Felipe, 20 years of marriage.
In addition to these milestones, both Leonor and Letizia will maintain their usual activities during 2024, such as military ceremonies, cultural events, trips inside and outside Spain, or family vacations.
Undoubtedly, it will be an intense year for the monarch and the heir to the throne.
