After two weeks in the London hospital, Princess Kate Middleton is now home.
Kensington Palace announced on Monday, January 29, that the wife of Prince William had been medically discharged after undergoing abdominal surgery scheduled for January 16.
The Princess of Wales, who will remain on medical leave until at least after Easter, was able to hug her children after nearly two weeks of separation.
Kate Middleton’s return home
Kensington Palace said in a statement that Kate had returned home to continue her recovery from surgery and was making good progress.
She also expressed her gratitude for all the medical care and support she has received from around the world.
This was the only confirmation that the Princess had left the London hospital, as no image of her or William leaving the hospital was released, unlike what happened with King Charles, who left through the front door of the same hospital accompanied by his wife, Queen Camilla.
Kate has remained silent and discreet about her health, which has generated much speculation about the reason for the surgery.
However, the most important thing for her was surely the long-awaited reunion with her three children, Princes George, Charlotte and Louis, with whom she has only been able to communicate via Facetime, according to a source.
There is no record of the children visiting their mother, so the reunion must have been very emotional and full of affection, considering this is the first time mother and children have spent so much time apart.
On the other hand, as revealed by the Daily Mail, her fans left her many flowers and gifts during her stay in the hospital.
Her assistants took the gifts to Adelaide Cottage, where she will spend the next few weeks.
