UWC Atlantic College, located in a 12th century medieval castle in Wales, is an international school that celebrates festivities from different countries due to its diverse student body of more than 150 nationalities.

Infanta Sofia, younger sister of Princess Leonor of Spain, studies there and actively participates in these colorful celebrations.

Recently, the school celebrated an American party with all the students.

The American students performed ‘Take Me Home, Country Roads’ by John Denver, on the occasion of the holiday, which commemorates the fact that in 1789 George Washington became the first president of the United States by election.

Possibly the Infanta Sofia possibly joined this important holiday.

Days earlier, the Eastern European group had performed their traditional dances and displayed their flags at the same venue.

The Infanta also participated in other events, such as the curious spicy ramen challenge, where students must eat spicy noodles as fast as possible.

In addition to these colorful celebrations, a novelty of UWC Atlantic is that it has gardens where they grow fruits and vegetables, encouraging a healthy diet and responsibility in the students.

This year they implemented an innovative program on leadership and sustainability to address global challenges such as climate change.
