In an event that captured the attention of all of Spain, the entire royal family attended the iconic Holy Week procession of La Soledad y Desamparo in Madrid.

In an impeccable casual style, Queen Letizia, King Felipe VI, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia surprised those present, giving the traditional celebration a touch of royalty.

The procession, organized by the Royal and Illustrious Congregation of Nuestra Señora de La Soledad y Desamparo, went through the emblematic streets of downtown Madrid.

This walk offered the monarchs and their daughters the opportunity to connect with the tradition and devotion of the Spanish people.

From their arrival at the Church of the Royal Conception of Calatrava, the royal family captivated everyone present.

Queen Letizia and Princess Leonor opted for a coordinated look, wearing jeans, navy blue jackets and military-style boots, demonstrating their ability to combine elegance and comfort.

King Felipe VI, for his part, kept warm in a navy blue parka with a hood, ready to face the inclement weather.

The Infanta Sofia complemented her outfit with wide navy blue pants and a light-toned short jacket, while Leonor added a nautical touch with a striped sweater.

Despite the intermittent drizzle, the royal family remained serene and patient, waiting with the citizens gathered to witness the departure of the images of Our Lady of Solitude and Helplessness and the Recumbent Christ.

Although the procession was finally suspended due to inclement weather, the monarchs and their daughters were close and friendly with those present, exchanging words and posing for photos.

The royal family’s participation in this Holy Week procession reflected their commitment to Spanish traditions.
