Prince William recently visited St George’s Park to meet with the England soccer team and brought the players some amusing advice from his youngest son, Prince Louis.

The 41-year-old Prince, who also serves as the FA president, shared that Louis suggested the team should “eat twice the amount” during their Euro 2024 campaign.

During the visit, William spoke with the squad and their head coach, Gareth Southgate, delivering an encouraging speech. He recounted his morning school run with his children, mentioning he had asked them, “What shall I say to the England team today?”

Prince Louis’s playful advice was to eat double their usual amount.

William added, laughing, that he imagined the players running around with huge bellies and stitches, suggesting they might want to take Louis’s advice with a grain of salt.

Harry Kane, England’s captain, responded with good humor, noting that their nutritionist might not appreciate such advice.

In his visit, William also had the honor of presenting shirts to the 26 players selected for the Euro 2024 team and discussing their preparations for the upcoming tournament with Southgate.

Expressing his excitement, William told the team that he would be watching every single game of the Euros and emphasized the importance and challenge of tournament football.

Prince acknowledged the players’ hard work throughout the season and urged them to fight and play for each other as a unit.

As the team prepares for their Group C opener against Serbia on Sunday, following a narrow 1-0 loss to Iceland in their last warm-up match, Kane shared his perspective on the recent defeat.

He mentioned that the team would review the match once settled in Germany, emphasizing the importance of learning from the experience and moving forward with high morale.

In a touching gesture, children from schools across the Midlands were invited to St George’s Park for a football festival. Among them was ten-year-old Abhijey, who expressed his excitement and surprise at meeting Prince William and the England squad.

The young fans applauded as Prince William joined Kane, former Lioness Jill Scott, and current England forward Ollie Watkins on the pitches.

Chatting with the kids, William confessed that he often stayed in defense when playing football because he “could never score.” A devoted Aston Villa supporter, he often takes his eldest son, Prince George, to matches.
