Princess Leonor, at just 18 years old, has gone from being a relatively unknown figure to one of the most prominent heiresses on the international stage.

Since coming of age, the eldest daughter of King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia has stepped up her public appearances and recently inaugurated her international agenda with an official trip to Portugal.

This decisive step strengthens her institutional role and demonstrates her firm commitment to the Crown.

Over time, Leonor has shown remarkable progress in her communication and expression skills. Gone is the shy young girl who relied on her parents’ support during her first speeches.

Now, the princess appears more confident and calm in her public interventions.

However, this growing media exposure and her youth have presented some challenges. According to Julio García Gómez, an expert in body communication and non-verbal language, there are areas in which the Princess of Asturias can still improve.

Expert Tips for Improve Princess Leonor’s Communication

In an interview reported by the Spanish website Lecturas, Gómez highlighted some key aspects that Leonor could focus on to optimize her communication and body language.

One point highlighted by the expert is the importance of vocal modulation.

Although Leonor has an excellent role model in her mother in terms of communication, Gómez suggests that the princess could benefit from learning to change her tone of voice from high-pitched to low to strengthen her oral message. This could be achieved through phoniatric techniques, according to the expert.

In addition, Gomez advises the princess to develop her paralanguage, i.e., the ability to time her speeches, manage silences and adjust the intensity and warmth of her voice.

These advances could help Leonor leave behind the image of a sweet child and move toward a more mature and confident profile.

The expert also talked about the content of her speeches.

Leonor should focus on topics that enhance her closeness with citizens, reinforce her self-confidence and consolidate her role as heir to the throne.

By working on these aspects, together with her team, Leonor can turn her weaknesses into strengths and stand out as an excellent communicator, just like her mother, the expert points out.

Despite her areas for improvement, Princess Leonor has managed to gain the trust and respect of many thanks to her professionalism, naturalness and approachability.

At her young age, she has already proven to be a leading figure in the Spanish Royal Household, but with some improvements, she could emerge as a leader in communication, following in the footsteps of her mother, Queen Letizia.
