The wedding of Princess Märtha Louise of Norway and Durek Verrett took place last August 31 in Geiranger, a picturesque Norwegian village surrounded by fjords.

The ceremony was not only an important event for the Norwegian royal family, but also attracted royalty from all over Europe, such as members of the royal houses of Sweden and the Netherlands.

One of the most talked about moments of the day was the arrival of the bride and groom, who were covered with a large white sheet to protect the exclusivity of the photos, as they had agreed with a well-known international magazine, according to Norwegian media.

This detail, designed to maintain the privacy of the event and ensure exclusivity, became an iconic image of the day.

The royal guests and their elegant fashion choices

Among the most anticipated faces, Princess Victoria of Sweden stood out, who opted for a Christer Lindarw dress, a Swedish design she had already worn on a previous occasion.

At her side, Prince Daniel wore an elegant dark suit, accompanying her with his characteristic sober style.

Prince Carl Philip of Sweden and his wife, Princess Sofia, were also present.

Sofia surprised by repeating a dress by Lilli Jahilo, a designer from Estonia known for her elegant and modern style.

From the Netherlands, Prince Constantijn, brother of King Willem-Alexander, attended with his wife, Princess Laurentien, who dazzled in a vibrant dress by Italian fashion house Missoni, famous for its geometric patterns and bright colors.

On the other hand, the bride’s bridesmaids also wore coordinating outfits in shades of pink, while the attendants wore ties in the same color, adding a touch of cohesion to the ceremony.

Many of the guests opted for traditional Norwegian costumes, known as bunad, adding a cultural and national touch to the celebration.

However, King Harald and Crown Prince Haakon broke with this tradition, wearing formal suits with bow ties, proving that there is room for variety even at a royal wedding.

Among the members of the Norwegian royal family, Princess Astrid, sister of King Harald, also made an appearance, adding a touch of classic elegance to the celebration.
