Sophie and Edward, Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, return to Paris for Paralympic Games.

Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, has returned to Paris, becoming the first representative of the British monarchy to visit the French capital in a short time.

Known as the favorite daughter-in-law of the late Queen Elizabeth II, Sophie attended the City of Light to support British athletes participating in the Paralympic Games in Paris.

She did not travel alone, as she was accompanied by her husband, Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh.

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh decided to enjoy the competition from the audience, instead of occupying a special box, to cheer on wheelchair fencer Oliver Lam Watson.

During the event, Sophie showed her support by waving the British team flag alongside UK Ambassador to France Mena Rawlings and British Paralympic Team CEO David Clarke.

On the other hand, Edward had to deal with a somewhat awkward moment, sitting behind a rather tall fan of the French team, which made it difficult for him to fully enjoy the view.

Despite this limitation, both seemed to enjoy their time in Paris, where they fulfilled their roles as patrons of the British Paralympic Association, as well as the field hockey and cycling teams.

For this occasion, Sophie chose an elegant navy blazer that she paired with a floral print dress from her favorite British brand, Suzannah London.

This is Sophie’s second trip to Paris in just a few weeks, as in August she was cheering on the British team in various disciplines, including a cycling competition where the women’s team broke the world speed record and won the gold medal.
