Harry of Sussex By Lillian Torres

Prince Harry has been saved from deportation: What will happen to his visa?

    11 September, 2024
    Prince Harry's visa
Prince Harry can breathe easy because he will remain in the U.S. without any problem.

Prince Harry can feel relieved and optimistic. The son of King Charles looks set to settle for an extended stay in the U.S. after his visa issues were supposedly resolved.

The Heritage Foundation, a Washington D.C.-based think tank, attempted to take the U.S. government to court to gain access to Prince Harry’s immigration records.

Prince Harry found himself on the hot seat regarding the validity of his visa, especially after the confessions published in his book “Spare.”

In one section of the text, he admitted to using drugs, which raised questions about his statement on his visa application.

U.S. regulations require all immigrants to answer whether they have ever used recreational drugs, raising questions about whether Harry had acknowledged his use in the application process.

The Heritage Foundation’s lawsuit sought to clarify whether the prince had received preferential treatment in this matter, or whether he had instead withheld relevant information.

What finally happened to Prince Harry’s visa?

Several months after the controversy, everything seems to indicate that the matter has come to a conclusion, at least momentarily. It has recently been reported that the lawsuit linked to Prince Harry’s visa status in the United States has been closed.

So far, the outcome seems favorable for him. On September 9, several secret orders were filed before Judge Carl J. Nichols, but the exact contents of these orders and the reasons that led to the closure of the case are unknown.

Uncertainty persists as to whether documents related to Harry’s immigration status will remain permanently sealed.

It is possible that the details of these orders will be revealed in the future, which could shed light on the conditions that concluded the lawsuit.

For the time being, however, Prince Harry has reason to breathe a sigh of relief and move on with his life in the United States without the burden of immigration uncertainty.
