This Sunday, September 15, Prince Harry celebrated his 40th birthday, a significant date that was recognized by the royal family.
Birthday messages for Prince Harry
In a gesture that surprised many, the official accounts of the monarchy, headed by King Charles, issued a congratulatory message to the Duke of Sussex.
This act marks the first time since 2021 that the royal family has publicly acknowledged Harry’s birthday.
Through social media managed by King Charles’ office at Buckingham Palace, a simple but meaningful message was posted:

This gesture from the royal family further fuels rumors of a possible return of the Duke of Sussex to his duties within the monarchy.
Recently, it was leaked that Harry might be interested in returning to England and gradually taking on some royal responsibilities.

On the other hand, the publication of these congratulatory messages is surprising because it could signify a rapprochement between Harry and his family, as public birthday wishes are usually reserved for sitting royals.
Given the current tension between Harry and his brother, as well as his complex relationship with his father, many interpret these messages as a possible gesture of reconciliation on the part of King Charles and Prince William.
In late August, Harry and William met at the funeral of Lord Robert Fellowes; however, witnesses indicated that the two sat in separate seats and did not exchange words. It is unknown if there was any kind of private rapprochement.
However, a source close to Prince Harry, consulted by People magazine, denied that Harry is interested in returning to work for the monarchy, stating that his life in California is happy and quiet.
