This Tuesday, October 8, Frederik and Mary of Denmark experienced a memorable moment in their reign when they received, for the first time as kings, the President of Iceland, Halla Tómasdóttir, in Copenhagen.
This event, which marks a significant stage in their history as monarchs, began with a warm welcome at the Nordre Toldbod ship terminal, where the royal couple received their distinguished guests.

Queen Mary in a purple coat by Søren Le Schmid
Mary, true to her commitment to sustainable fashion, dazzled in a coat dressed in a vibrant shade of purple.
This elegant design is the work of talented Danish designer Søren Le Schmid, known for his focus on sustainability.

The dress, which has already been a part of her closet since 2018, resembles a garment that combines a crossover neckline top with a slatted midi skirt, which flatteringly accentuates her figure.
Mary first wore this dress coat during the coronation of King Charles III at Westminster Abbey in May 2023, a high-profile event.

She also wore it again in January 2024, at a special mass at Aarhus Cathedral on the occasion of Frederik’s appointment as the new king.
To complete her look, the queen chose to adorn her hair with a matching purple tiara, delicately decorated with a small bow on the side.

Her hands were covered with suede gloves, and she carried a crocodile skin clutch from Carlend Copenhagen. She also opted for elegant taupe heels by Gianvito Rossi.

Given the chilly Copenhagen weather, Mary bundled up in a pearl gray scarf, which fell gracefully from her neck to her waist, adding a touch of sophistication to her outfit.

As for jewelry, she sparkled in flower-shaped diamond earrings by Ole Lynggard and an amethyst brooch by Georg Jensen, which enhanced her elegance.
