The jewelry of the British royal family has always been more than just accessories; they are symbols of affection and tradition, loaded with deep meaning.

This is the case of the delicate pendant that Lady Louise Windsor, granddaughter of the late Queen Elizabeth II, has worn on several important occasions.

At almost 21 years old, Louise, the eldest daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, Sophie and Edward, has shown her love for her family by wearing a very special piece: the Fairy Medallion.

This pendant, which has been seen at events such as the memorial ceremony for her grandfather, Prince Philip, at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, and has not gone unnoticed.

Its heart-shaped design, made of filigree in sterling silver and adorned with 9-carat rose gold, is inspired by ancient Welsh fairy tales.

Valued at approximately $180, this delicate accessory is a jewel full of history and meaning.

Clogau brand CEO, Ben Roberts, expressed his excitement in the Daily Mail, seeing Lady Louise wearing one of his creations.

For Ben, it is touching to see one of his jewels become part of Lady Louise’s life and that of the next generation of the Royal Family, “This gives meaning to all our efforts,” he commented.

The use of Welsh jewelry by royals is not new. Since 1923, when Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, better known as the Queen Mother, chose Welsh gold for her wedding rings with the future King George VI, this metal has been an important symbol for the British Crown.

But the most special thing about this pendant is its family history. It is a gift from Lady Louise’s mother, Duchess Sophie of Edinburgh, who in turn received it in 2014 from the same brand, Clogau.

It is, without a doubt, a loving “witness pass” that follows in the footsteps of royal tradition, demonstrating that, beyond the brilliance of the jewels, what matters is the love and the legacy they represent.
