This Monday, January 27, 2025, a significant group of royal houses from around the world gathered in a very symbolic place: the Auschwitz concentration camp, to remember the 80th anniversary of the liberation of this painful place.
King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain traveled to Poland to take part in the commemorative ceremony, where they were reunited with other members of several European monarchies.
The visit was marked by the sobriety and elegance that such an occasion requires, with a rare parade of royals assembled for the event.

Other royals in attendance included King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium, as well as Willem-Alexander and Máxima of the Netherlands.
Also joining the event were Frederik and Mary of Denmark, Prince Haakon of Norway, Princess Victoria of Sweden, and Henri, the Grand Duke of Luxembourg.
On this occasion, fashion took a back seat. The solemnity of the event dictated that black attire and coats were predominant, accompanied by some headdresses.
Despite the large number of royals, there were some notable absences, the most significant being Queen Camilla.
Although King Charles III was present, his wife did not attend. Another notable absence was Mette-Marit of Norway, although her husband, Prince Haakon, was present.
