Jason Knauf, Meghan Markle’s former press secretary, has returned to the spotlight after reaffirming his accusations against the Duchess of Sussex in a recent interview with “60 Minutes Australia.”
In the conversation, Knauf assured that he has no regrets about having denounced in 2018 the alleged workplace harassment suffered by some employees of the palace by Markle.
Meghan Markle Bullying
“I wouldn’t change anything,” he stated with conviction when asked if he regretted his statements.
For him, dealing with the public exposure his whistleblowing brought was “tough, but it’s probably quite good.”
He further noted that anyone who helps others manage life under public scrutiny must be prepared to face the same at some point.
Knauf’s allegations came to light in 2021, shortly before Meghan and Prince Harry’s explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey.
At the time, an email was leaked in which Knauf warned the palace’s human resources department about the duchess’s conduct.
In her message, she claimed that Meghan had harassed two assistants until they resigned and that her treatment of another employee was undermining her confidence.
Meghan Markle a difficult boss
According to writer Tom Bower, several staff members were deeply affected by Markle’s attitude.
One employee confessed that the experience had made him “feel sick,” while others claimed they “couldn’t stop shaking” and were “terrified.”
From the beginning, Meghan Markle has strongly denied these allegations.
Her team called Knauf’s statements a new attack on her image and rejected any insinuation of abuse of power.
This is not the first time the duchess has faced such accusations, as some of her former employees recently described her in a Vanity Fair report as a “dictator in heels” who generated a hostile work environment.
Despite the controversy, Knauf made it clear that her relationship with Meghan and Harry was not exclusively negative.
He assured that they had many good moments and that despite everything he wishes the Sussexes all the best in their family life.
