Drama is brewing around Meghan Markle’s series. Apparently, her new Netflix “lifestyle” show, “With Love, Meghan,” isn’t winning everyone over.
Despite generating plenty of intrigue, it seems that some viewers are annoyed and accuse Prince Harry’s wife of lacking “authenticity.”
In fact, even her own father and half-brother, Thomas Markle and Thomas Markle Jr., have joined the critics. Both agree that Meghan doesn’t come across as genuine.
But it didn’t stop there. Amanda Hirsch, host of the podcast “Not Skinny But Not Fat,” joked that she was “freaked out” by the backlash against Meghan before the show’s premiere. What no one expected was Meghan’s direct response.
What was Meghan’s reply to the criticism surrounding her show?
In an unexpected move, Meghan sent Hirsch a handwritten letter—not just to show off her penmanship skills but to personally address the criticism.
“Dear Amanda, I heard you were feeling scared. Don’t be! This is the fun part—let’s enjoy it,” wrote the Duchess of Sussex, signing the message with, “As ever, Meghan.”
That closing was a nod to her personal brand, which she had to rename due to legal complications.
Hirsch, understandably emotional, shared the letter on Instagram with a big “OH MY DUCHESS.”
She also revealed that the envelope bore Meghan’s royal crest—the Windsor crown atop an “M.” Despite no longer being active royals, Meghan and Harry occasionally use these symbols.
Amanda has declared herself a lifelong Meghan fan and plans to frame the letter. The Duchess certainly knows how to generate headlines and convert detractors into admirers.
