During her recent state visit to Italy, Queen Camilla captured all eyes at the gala banquet held at the majestic Quirinale Palace in Rome.
The occasion was not only important for its diplomatic nature, but also for its emotional charge: it coincided with the 20th wedding anniversary of King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
Queen Camilla’s style at the State Banquet in Rome
For the evening, the Queen opted for a sophisticated lace dress designed by Fiona Clare, one of her favorite British designers.
The satin turquoise color enhanced both her skin tone and her hair and brought freshness and harmony to the ensemble.
The design maintained the classic essence that defines her style, without sacrificing a modern touch.
But what really added a special value to the look was the jewelry.
Camilla accessorized her outfit with a turquoise and diamond necklace that belonged to her mother, Rosalind Shand, who passed away in 1994.
To match, she wore pear-shaped diamond earrings. In keeping with protocol, the Queen did not wear a tiara, which is customary for black-tie evening events.
For his part, King Charles III wore a dark suit with the relevant decorations: the collar of the Order of Merit of the United Kingdom, the star of the OMRI (Order of Merit of the Italian Republic), and a careful selection of medals linked to the Kingdom, the Orders and the British Jubilees.
During the reception, the British monarchs exchanged gifts with the Italian presidential couple in a cordial atmosphere.
Among the guests were figures such as tenor Andrea Bocelli and designer Paul Smith, who did not miss the opportunity to personally congratulate the King and Queen on their anniversary.
