Revealed: Where Infanta Sofia Will Study and the Degree She’ll Pursue

Infanta Sofia has already decided on her next step. After completing her international baccalaureate in Wales, the youngest daughter of King Felipe and Queen Letizia has decided to study Political Science and International Relations.

The Royal Household has confirmed that she will attend Forward College, a private European university with a traveling program that will allow her to study in three cities: Lisbon, Paris, and Berlin.

This plan marks a clear departure from the path taken by her sister, Princess Leonor, who is currently immersed in military training as heir to the throne.

Unlike her sister, Sofia is not required to follow this type of training, which has allowed her to explore a more civilian and diplomatic academic path. The choice also points to an international outlook that could be valuable in the future of the royal family.

The young woman, who obtained very good grades in high school, will spend several years outside Spain, expanding her academic training and personal experience in multicultural contexts.

This new direction clears up speculation about her immediate future and hints at the role she could play in the long term in support of the Crown, especially as institutional backing for her older sister when she fully assumes her role as head of state.
