I want to tell you about a topic that has been circulating in circles close to the royal family: the Duke of York’s alleged “unpleasant” comments about the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton.
A well-known royal biographer, Andrew Lownie, revealed in his book Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York that these comments—although it is not known exactly what Andrew said—were motivated by jealousy.
The curious thing is that Lownie confessed to being surprised, as he expected the Duke to show more respect for William and not be “nasty about his wife.”
According to the author, these words would have created great tension between the Duke of York and his nephew, Prince William, who has been frustrated by his uncle’s actions over the years.
William, who has a strong sense of public duty, would be more focused on fulfilling his role without having to deal with these family conflicts.
“He’s doing the right thing and has enough on his plate without thinking about his uncle,” said Lownie, who also pointed out that while other members of the royal family are united, “Andrew’s side has left a lot to be desired.”
Furthermore, the book claims that when William ascends to the throne, he will not hesitate to request the expulsion of Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson from the royal residence where they still live, the Royal Lodge.
A close source even pointed out that William “hates” Sarah and that if his father, King Charles, does not remove them first, he will do so as soon as he becomes king.
It is worth mentioning that, although Buckingham Palace has not made any official comments on these accusations, it is known that the relationship between William and Andrew has been in conflict for years.
For example, this year Andrew attended Easter Mass at St. George’s Chapel, but William and Kate decided to stay in Norfolk with their children, avoiding that family gathering.
A source clearly stated that William “has no time for his uncle” and would prefer not to spend time with him. In short, the Duke of York continues to be a headache for the royal family.
