For years, Prince Andrew insisted he had severed all ties with Jeffrey Epstein in 2010. He repeated it in interviews, including that infamous BBC conversation that still haunts him today.
But newly leaked emails cast doubt on his version of events. Apparently, contact with Epstein continued for at least five more years.
The messages, reportedly from the email account of former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, reveal conversations in which Andrew is directly mentioned.
In one of them, Epstein claims that information about a private security project in China came from “Andrew.” When Barak expresses surprise, Epstein responds bluntly: “yes.” A brief but damning confirmation.
It’s worth noting that in 2015—when this alleged contact was still ongoing—the Duke of York was still fulfilling official duties, including hosting Xi Jinping in London.
The contradiction is stark: on one hand, the public image of a representative of the British Crown; on the other, lingering ties with someone already branded a sexual predator.
What stands out in this new chapter isn’t just the inconsistency with his past statements, but what it reveals about the difficulty of severing certain connections within the international elite.
A relationship Andrew claimed was closed appears to have remained alive through emails, favors, and business dealings. And although neither he nor Barak have commented on the leaks, they reopen uncomfortable questions the Royal Family would likely prefer to keep quiet.
