Princess Leonor has once again stepped into cadet mode, this time in Marín, where the 2025 Interacademy Championship is being held.
This biennial event brings together young people from military academies across Spain, combining sports, discipline, and camaraderie. But of course, Leonor’s presence elevates this event beyond a mere competition, showcasing her continued growth within the Navy.
Since she began her military training in Zaragoza, we have seen the Princess take each step with enthusiasm. Now, at the Naval School, she represents the Navy in this year’s championship.
In the previous championship, while still wearing the Army uniform, her team secured the silver medal. This achievement left a lasting impression, with images widely commented on for their competitive spirit and camaraderie.
The Interacademias is a sports competition that tests the leadership, endurance, and teamwork of future officers.
This year, the events range from athletics to nautical disciplines, taking advantage of the facilities in Marín and its maritime environment. And, as usual, the anticipation has been enormous, as it’s not every day that the heir to the throne is seen participating side by side with her peers in such events.
