Queen Letizia and Infanta Sofia’s Style on Hispanic Day

Hispanic Day once again brought the royal family together for one of the year’s most solemn—and visually anticipated—events. But beyond the parade and official events, all eyes once again turned to the style of Queen Letizia and Infanta Sofia.

Two generations, two distinct approaches to elegance, yet united by a common thread: the effortless ease with which they navigate between formal and everyday life.

Letizia chose a forest green tweed dress, a fabric that has become one of her favorites. The piece, featuring a midi cut and a slightly flared skirt, highlighted her figure without rigidity, combining sobriety and sophistication.

She paired it with a slim Hugo Boss belt, Massimo Dutti slingback shoes, and her black Victoria Insignia bag from Carolina Herrera, another classic in her wardrobe.

In terms of jewelry, she repeated a personal favorite: the emerald earrings from Tous she received for her 50th birthday, along with her inseparable Coreterno ring.

Princess Sofia, on the other hand, exuded a youthful and modern elegance. She chose a black dress with white polka dots, designed by Carolina Herrera, featuring semi-sheer sleeves and a velvet belt to accentuate her waist.

On top, a long black cape from the same label lent her an air of maturity without compromising her freshness. Her footwear – Magrit ballet flats with a strap and a low golden heel – was a nod to comfort, consistent with her natural and unpretentious style.

It’s interesting to see how mother and daughter share a penchant for thoughtful simplicity. Letizia remains true to her signature style of functional elegance, while Sofia is beginning to forge her own path with subtle nods to her mother’s aesthetic.

Princess Leonor, for her part, wore her impeccable General Air Force Academy dress uniform, complete with all its insignia.
