King Frederik and Queen Mary of Denmark kicked off 2026 with a historic state visit to Estonia and Lithuania.
Since their arrival in Tallinn this week, the schedule has been intense: walks through snowy streets, visits to the Memorial to the Victims of Communism, the Rakett69 Science studios, and a lunch with Prime Minister Kristen Michal and his wife.

But the highlight was the concert and state banquet at St. Nicholas Church, where Mary retrieved one of the most special jewels from the royal jewelry box: her wedding tiara.
For her grand evening in Tallinn, Mary dazzled in a midnight blue dress with French sleeves and a neckline adorned with gold appliqués resembling a necklace.

She elevated the ensemble with the imposing diamond and pearl tiara she wore on her wedding day, a piece that belongs to the Danish crown’s heirloom collection.
She also received a long list of honors, including the Star of the Order of the Elephant, the light blue silk sash, the Frederik X brooch, and the Order of the Cross of Terra Mariana, bestowed by the Estonian government.

Frederik, meanwhile, delivered an emotional speech remembering Helga, his Estonian nanny, who sang to him in his native language as a child.
The couple continued their journey to Latvia, where they were greeted by snow during a visit focused on defense preparedness and security.
At the banquet at the Presidential Palace in Vilnius, Mary deviated from her usual style by opting for haute couture.

For the first time, she chose an Elie Saab design featuring a majestic cape, a piece inspired by winter weddings, which she paired with a beautiful gold diamond tiara adorned with small rubies that she gifted herself in 2012. She paired it with matching earrings.

Mary remains one of the most stylish consorts when it comes to formal wear, and this trip once again confirmed that.
