Over the weekend, Meghan Markle once again became a topic of conversation, and this time for all the right reasons. The Duchess of Sussex attended the Fifteen Percent Pledge Fundraising Gala at Paramount Pictures Studios, an event aimed at encouraging retailers to dedicate at least 15% of their space to businesses led by Black people.
The evening honored Tina Knowles for her work supporting creatives and entrepreneurs in the African-American community, so the dress code was clear: all black or designs by racialized creators. Meghan understood it perfectly.

She arrived wearing a custom-made strapless dress from Harbison Studio, featuring a satin finish and a fitted silhouette that hugged her figure perfectly. The most spectacular detail was the black velvet shawl with a train draped over her shoulders, a touch of pure Hollywood Golden Age glamour.

No excesses or garish glitter. Only well-executed classic elegance, complemented by minimalist Stuart Weitzman sandals and Mèrenor onyx and diamond jewelry: drop earrings and a cocktail ring that added just the right touch of sophistication without overshadowing the ensemble.

When it came to beauty, Meghan remained completely true to herself. Radiant skin with visible freckles, natural, warm-toned eye makeup, and a subtle pink nude lipstick. The low, polished bun kept the focus on her face and reinforced that restrained aesthetic that works so well when you’re not trying to impress.
Many are already saying this was one of her best public appearances in years, and they’re not wrong.
