Infanta Sofia is about to complete her first year at Forward College in Lisbon, where she is studying Politics and International Relations. This degree, designed by the London School of Economics and awarded by the University of London, is unique in that it is offered in three different European cities.
After Lisbon, she will study in Paris and Berlin, so by the time she graduates in 2027, she will have lived in three capitals and gained an international perspective that few careers offer. But what’s interesting is understanding the career opportunities this kind of training offers someone like her.

According to the center’s website, graduates of this program have gone on to work in quite influential positions. We’re talking about international organizations and NGOs like Plan International, the OECD, the European Youth Parliament, and the Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital Charity.
There are also opportunities in government and diplomacy that seem tailor-made for someone of royal standing: the German parliament, consulates, embassies, the European Commission in France, or even the Investment Office of the Turkish Presidency in Paris. In short, the range is broad and highly focused on institutional matters.

But it’s not all about politics and diplomacy. Other graduates have pursued careers in sectors such as banking and finance, media, education, and local government.
And if Sofia prefers to continue her studies after graduation, many students have received offers from institutions like the London School of Economics, King’s College, and the Hertie School for postgraduate programs in international affairs, law, human rights, or business administration.

Regarding internships, alumni from the same program have worked at companies such as L’Oréal, Amazon, PwC, EY, and BNP Paribas. Not a bad start.
The interesting thing is that Sofia’s profile combines strong academic preparation with a position that almost automatically opens doors for her. Of course, it also comes with its own limitations and expectations. Being a regular graduate is not the same as being an Infanta of Spain working at an NGO or an embassy.
Whatever path you choose, it’s clear you have a variety of options.
