Princess Kate Rewears Alessandra Rich for St. David’s Day

This Sunday, Princess Kate and Prince William released a joint video to celebrate St. David’s Day, the patron saint of Wales. Nothing extravagant, just a brief and warm message from home.

A symbolic gesture, consistent with Kate’s gradual return to the public eye. But of course, the look generated the most conversation.

Kate Middleton wore an Alessandra Rich dress again

The princess chose a dress by Alessandra Rich, who has been one of her favorite designers for years. Interestingly, the piece is not new at all, as it is from the spring/summer 2020 collection and was first worn in May 2021, when she attended the reopening of the Victoria and Albert Museum after lockdown.

It features a houndstooth print, a structured collar, and a defined waist. Five years later, she rescues him.

The daffodil that William and Kate wore on their lapels

Guillermo opted for a classic look, wearing a dark suit, a white shirt, and a navy blue tie with red stripes. But both outfits shared a noteworthy detail. Both wore a yellow daffodil on their lapels, the emblematic flower of Wales and the quintessential symbol of St. David’s Day.

    Kate’s recycling style

Just a week ago, she surprised everyone at the BAFTAs with a Gucci design she had worn before, when everyone was expecting a new outfit. Now, Kate is building a public presence focused on consistency rather than constant novelty. She doesn’t need to debut something new every time she appears to be talked about, and that, in the royal world, is quite difficult to sustain.
