June is a busy month for Leonor. The Princess of Asturias is in the final stretch of her third year at the San Javier General Air Academy, and her schedule for the coming weeks is quite busy.
Starting on June 1, the exams for the second semester begin, marking the start of a highly demanding period that will last until the 12th. These twelve days will determine her record in the Air Force and will shape everything else, including her institutional schedule.

Why Leonor might miss Armed Forces Day this year
Armed Forces Day is celebrated on May 30, an event to which Leonor has an obvious connection given her military training. However, everything indicates that she will not be present this year. Her exams start two days later, and with that pressure on her, her priority seems clear.
Her absence is not a whim; it is the logical consequence of being in the final stretch of a demanding academic year.

The scheduling conflict doesn’t end there. While Princess Leonor is in the midst of her exam period in Murcia, Pope Leo XIV will be visiting Spain with a packed schedule in Madrid, and the royal family will be in attendance at some of these events.
King Felipe and Queen Letizia will be there, but Leonor will not be able to join them. Her military duties keep her in San Javier, with no room for exceptions.

After the exams and the final days of training, the most eagerly awaited moment will arrive. On July 15, the graduation ceremony is scheduled at the Academy, the event that officially marks the end of her time in the Air Force.
As in previous years, King Felipe will preside over the ceremony, and Queen Letizia and Infanta Sofía are expected to travel to San Javier to accompany Leonor. A family reunion in a familiar setting, to bid farewell to one chapter and usher in the next.
