Meghan Markle attended Netflix’s Beef Season Two Tastemaker event in Montecito, California, wearing a chartreuse Heidi Merrick dress—that electric yellow-green that either wins you over or puts you off—paired with Jimmy Choo Etana 50 mule sandals.
The result was exactly what you would expect from her: calculated, sophisticated, and with that touch of “I know exactly what I’m doing.”

The curious thing about the whole affair is the context in which she appeared. Meghan has just parted ways with Netflix as a business partner for As Ever, her brand of jams, rosé, and edible flowers, because, according to sources close to her, she felt that the platform was holding back her global expansion.

And yet, there she was, hugging Nicole Avant, the wife of CEO Ted Sarandos, as if nothing had happened. Business separation, yes; personal breakup, no.

Prince Harry was also present. The couple still have a “first-look” agreement with Netflix for future projects, so the relationship, although transformed, is not completely severed.
Nicole Avant even called Meghan “the rock star” last year, and all indications are that this friendship has survived the business realignment.
