For weeks now, Queen Maxima has been operating at a non-stop pace. After her visit to the United States, she returned to the Netherlands with an equally busy schedule. The occasion is King’s Day, which is celebrated on April 27, and the lead-up events are piling up.
On Tuesday, April 21, she traveled to Arnhem, named SME City 2026 by the MKB-Nederland business association, where she visited the Clean Technology Park, a space where over 140 companies are working on solutions for the energy transition and the circular economy.
For the visit, she opted for a look that cleverly combines wardrobe staples. A navy blue blouse with a pussycat bow, designed by Natan, her go-to designer, and a camel-colored wool midi skirt with patch pockets from Massimo Dutti. These are pieces we’ve seen her wear before, effortlessly combined without the need for anything new. That’s one of Maxima’s hallmarks.
Her accessories followed the same functional logic, with that touch of distinction that is her hallmark. Black heeled boots by Gianvito Rossi, model Laura 85, in smooth leather with an almond toe, and curved gold earrings by Monies. Nothing over-the-top, everything coherent.
But the piece that garnered all the attention was the coat, designed by Anna Trzebinski, a Kenya-born designer with European roots whose brand was founded in Nairobi and works directly with artisans from local communities, particularly the Maasai and Samburu peoples.
