Princess Ariane of the Netherlands has just embarked on a very different chapter within the royal family. At 19, the youngest daughter of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima began her degree in Aerospace Engineering at Delft University of Technology, after completing the International Baccalaureate at UWC Adriatic in Italy and taking a gap year.

How did Princess Ariane dress for her first day of college?
For her arrival on campus, Ariane opted for a style that fits the university atmosphere perfectly. She wore striped pants, a white Twinset shirt with draped details, and her Adidas Originals Handball Spezial.
She rounded off the look with a Flora & Co bag, a Rosa de la Cruz necklace, and a casual vibe that made her seem just like any other student.

Photos released by the Dutch Royal Family show Ariane smiling in front of the Aeronautical and Space Engineering building. In another image, she appears inside the campus, standing right beneath a small plane suspended from the ceiling.
What will Ariane study at Delft?
Her choice also highlights a difference among the three sisters. Amalia studied the interdisciplinary PPLE program, while Alexia chose Science and Engineering for Social Change. Ariane, on the other hand, has opted for an education that is fully focused on aeronautics.

While the Palace shared these initial photos to celebrate her arrival, her studies will be treated as a private matter. The aim is for Ariane to blend into the university community as just another student, which also explains why these images are so limited in scope.
