Queen Letizia once again opted for a classic from her wardrobe at the opening of the 30th Ibero-American Summit. For the ceremony at the Teatro Real and the subsequent dinner at the Palacio Real, she chose a navy blue Delpozo dress she has worn on several occasions. The dress features a boat neckline, a gently ballooned silhouette, and a large flower appliquéd on the right shoulder. That almost architectural detail is what transforms a piece with simple lines into one of the most recognizable in her wardrobe.

The King and Queen welcomed the heads of state and government from the 22 Ibero-American countries, and the Queen wanted to do so in a design she already knows works well.

How many times has Letizia worn this Delpozo dress?
This is the fourth time she’s worn it. She debuted it in December 2018 at the anniversary celebration for the newspaper As, and just a few months later, she wore it in Paris for a meeting with Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron, where it also garnered praise. The third time was at the 2020 Princess of Asturias Awards, held in the midst of the pandemic. Six years have passed since then, and the Queen has brought it back for an international event in Madrid.

This isn’t an isolated decision. Letizia has been advocating for wearing the same outfits more than once for some time now.
The rest of the outfit followed a monochromatic theme. She wore navy blue suede slingback pumps from Magrit and a matching clutch from the same brand—a choice that allowed the dress’s floral detail to take center stage.

The jewelry also came from her jewelry box. She chose a pair of earrings from the Madrid jeweler Aldao, featuring a white gold and diamond hoop from which a large, teardrop-shaped aquamarine hangs. The earrings illuminated her face and balanced the neckline. She finished the look with a diamond and sapphire bracelet that we’ve seen her wear on other occasions, along with her ever-present Coreterno ring.
