This Wednesday, Toledo was the setting for the presentation of the Gold Medals for Merit in the Fine Arts, an event presided over by King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia at the Teatro Rojas.
For this event, Queen Letizia once again chose red, which became an inspiration for guests seeking an elegant and contemporary style.

It’s a new dress featuring a kimono-style cross-over design, a slightly higher V-neck, short sleeves, and a sash with a knot that effortlessly defines the waist. The overskirt adds movement to a silhouette that appears simple on paper but is beautifully executed in practice.
It’s the kind of piece that works because of its clean lines, flattering cut, and a color that speaks for itself.

Red and Letizia share a long history. For years, it was her most recognizable color. Then, she gradually sidelined it in favor of white, pink, or blue. This spring, it seems that the relationship has been rekindled with enthusiasm. A few days ago, she had already pulled a red Adolfo Domínguez design from her closet, and today she arrived with this new piece, confirming that her return is intentional.
For accessories, she chose nude slingback pumps from Magrit, diamond and ruby earrings from Gold&Roses, and a Coreterno ring on her index finger. Everything was perfectly coordinated.

Her loose, natural hair with a side parting completed a look that, overall, exuded elegance without being stiff. Nothing is out of place; nothing is superfluous.
