Every time Letizia comes into contact with journalism, you can tell something shifts within her. This Thursday, the Queen was at the Ortega-Marañón Foundation in Madrid, presiding over the 15th anniversary of the magazine ‘Ethic,’ and took the opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces in the industry. But, as is often the case, what was most talked about afterward was her look.

Queen Letizia’s summer dress
Green is one of the most popular colors this summer, and Letizia wore it without hesitation at a work event.
The dress is by Hugo Boss and features a pencil silhouette, a round neckline, a front slit, and a matching belt—one of those accessories the queen wears again and again because she knows it works for her. The side pockets are the finishing touch to a garment that, while not anything extraordinary, fits her perfectly.

Is it a new dress, or has Letizia worn it before?
It’s not a new piece. She first wore this dress in 2019 during an official trip to Argentina, and it’s been back in her closet several times since then. Being sleeveless, it reveals those toned arms that are often talked about whenever she appears in similar outfits.
There’s something about wearing pieces from years ago that says more about her style than any new dress, because it shows that what really matters to her is that the clothes work, not that they’re from the latest collection.
She paired the green dress with a black bag and shoes. The shoes feature a slim, low heel and a slingback design— a classic style she often wears.
The bag was the Victoria Insignia by Carolina Herrera, one of her signature styles. She wore her hair loose with a bit of volume, without the more elaborate waves she showed off a few days ago, and Gold&Roses triple-hoop earrings as the only extra statement piece. Her makeup, as always, was subtle.
