    Soldier who accompanied Queen Elizabeth II’s coffin found dead, Who was he and what happened to him?

    The death of one of the soldiers who accompanied the coffin of Queen Elizabeth II surprised many. The young man’s body was found last Wednesday, September 28, in the barracks of Hyde Park, in London, where he was assigned.

    The young man, just 18 years old, was identified as Jack Burnell-Williams and had participated in the funeral ceremonies held last September 19.

    Burnell-Williams was a native of South Wales and recently joined the Royal Cavalry, the Daily Mail reported. The young man’s family does not believe the news.

    Through social networks, they have expressed their sorrow for the tragic death. “Never in my life did I think I would be saying this. But our family is heartbroken after the sudden passing of our wonderful son,” wrote his mother, Laura, 42, on her Facebook profile.

    A British Army spokesman confirmed the death. “It is with great sadness that we confirm the death of Private Jack Burnell-Williams on 28 September at Hyde Park Barracks. Our thoughts are with the soldier’s family and friends at this difficult time and we ask that their privacy is respected.”

    At the moment, the causes of the soldier’s death are unknown, his case is already under investigation by forensic experts.
