Princess Leonor is preparing for a week full of significant events.
As the daughter of King Felipe and Queen Letizia, she will face an agenda full of notable engagements, including her international travel debut with a visit to Portugal.
Before leaving, she will have the honor of presiding over the new Princess of Girona Awards, which this year commemorate their fifteenth anniversary.
This event will be even more special as it will be her first appearance at these awards after coming of age last October.
Princess Leonor’s and the King and Queen’s agenda
Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia’s agenda begins this Tuesday with a series of official events in the context of the Princess of Girona Foundation Awards.
The day opens with an exclusive visit to the studio of renowned Spanish artist Jaume Plensa.
The day continues with a relaxed gathering in the late afternoon, where the young women will meet with KingFelipe and Queen Letizia and the laureates of previous editions of the awards, celebrating fifteen years of the foundation’s trajectory.
On Wednesday, the royal agenda moves forward with the main ceremony of the awards ceremony to be held in the afternoon.
However, in the morning, Leonor and Sofia will participate in an enriching dialogue with young beneficiaries of the foundation’s programs, exchanging experiences and perspectives.
By mid-morning, they will join the King and Queen in a series of significant engagements, including a meeting of the Advisory Council and the presentation of a report on the impact of Artificial Intelligence in the youth career field.
After a lunch with the Trustees and recent award recipients, the Board of Trustees Meeting will take place, chaired by King Felipe VI.
The day will conclude with the Princess of Girona Awards Ceremony, an event that promises to be a highlight in the royal calendar.
