One of the people closest to Queen Elizabeth died. The Duchess of Grafton, Ann Fortune FitzRoy has passed away after spending more than 70 years in Her Majesty’s service.
The death occurred on December 3, the Duchess died at the age of 101 and was part of the group of ladies in company of the monarch and began working for the British monarchy in 1953, the same year of the coronation of Prince Charles’ mother.
From his job he was in charge of preparing the Queen’s outfits for official events, he also accompanied her to public appointments and state trips.
The Queen has suffered many losses recently. In January, the sovereign said goodbye to her friend Lady Mary Colman, while two months earlier, her cousin, Lady Elizabeth Anson, died in November 2020, she was in charge of organizing some of the most important parties of the grandmother of Princes William and Harry.
This has not been a very good year for the Queen since on April 9 she said goodbye to who was her husband for more than 70 years, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and in recent weeks she has had to reduce her official duties to the maximum due to health problems that have worried thousands of Britons.
