The sad end of Meghan Markle’s podcast, Archetypes, has made it clear that the Duchess of Sussex has given up.
According to reports, Meghan turned down an offer to revive the podcast.
Spotify canceled the podcast last June 2023 after just 12 episodes, even though the deal between Meghan and the platform was worth more than $20 million.
The deal was one of the major commercial agreements Meghan and Harry signed after left her royal duties and moved to the United States in 2020.

Has Meghan already outgrown the Archetypes podcast?
When the Spotify deal was first announced, there were plans to produce multiple seasons of the podcast, but in the end, only one came to fruition.
It seems, however, that Meghan wants to forget about that failed project altogether.
It was recently revealed that the petition to patent the podcast’s name, “Archetypes,” has been withdrawn after an unsuccessful 17-month battle to officially protect the name.

Meghan and Harry had attempted to claim rights to Archetypes episodes in areas such as “audio recordings and downloadable podcasts” and anything related to the “cultural treatment of women and stereotypes faced by women” with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
However, ten months after the application was filed, the office rejected the application on the grounds that it could cause confusion with an existing trademark of the same name.
Meghan and Harry’s lawyer requested an additional three months to amend the application, but this appears to have failed, forcing the Duke and Duchess to give up their attempts to secure ownership of the trademark.
According to the Daily Mail, the couple decided to end the battle last month when they withdrew.
The cancellation of the Archetypes podcast is clearly a disappointment for Meghan Markle, who will now have to look for other projects to further her career as a content creator.
Recently, there have been speculations that Meghan could resume her Instagram account, where she could earn up to $1 million per post. But it is still not clear.
