The royals were involved in a situation that went viral on social media, right in front of Giorgia Meloni, the President of the Italian Council of Ministers.

During a lunch in the gardens of the Casino del Bel Respiro, in Villa Doria Pamphilj in Rome, they posed for the de rigueur photo before approaching the building to chat.
Confusion soon ensued when Queen Letizia, seemingly unaware of the protocol, decided to walk alongside her husband and the Italian politician as if nothing was amiss.
And this is where the misunderstanding escalated. When they reached the steps of the building, they stopped for another photo and, once again, Letizia was in a place that did not belong to her.
The protocol officer, who had attempted to assist her earlier, failed to clarify the situation this time.
It was then that King Felipe, with a disguised gesture, had to intervene, turning his back to the cameras to explain to Letizia what was going on.
Despite his intention, the exchange did not seem clear, and Letizia, somewhat lost, moved from one side to the other without knowing very well where to position herself.
Finally, she managed to find her place and smiled for the photo, although the moment itself had been somewhat awkward.
