King Charles celebrated his 76th birthday on November 14, and he did it in a very characteristic way: by working!
Beyond the parties and cakes, the British monarch decided to put a twist on his special day by inaugurating the first Coronation Food Hub.
The king arrived this Thursday morning with incredible energy at Deptford Trading Estate in South London, where this important event took place.
Instead of focusing on typical celebrations, he chose to use the occasion to highlight the work of his Food Project.
This project, which seeks to combat food waste and food insecurity, was launched last year, right on his birthday, in response to the cost of living crisis affecting many.
Since its inception, the initiative has made a huge difference. It has helped save 940 tons of food, which equates to more than two million meals. It is an impressive effort that shows the king’s commitment to social causes.
Birthday gift for King Charles
During the inauguration, there was a very special moment that would melt anyone’s heart.
A group of children from Rye Oak Primary School in Peckham greeted the king with a lovely rendition of “Happy Birthday.”
They also presented him with a huge birthday card with a collage of photos forming the number 76, created by six-year-old Zariah.

Prince William’s father could not help but be touched by this sweet gesture and thanked the little ones for their dedication.
Thus, King Charles opted for a birthday full of meaning, where, instead of immersing himself in conventional celebrations, he chose to contribute to a noble cause and recognize the efforts of the new generations.
Undoubtedly a birthday that left a mark not only on his heart, but also on the community that was the beneficiary of his initiative.
