Photos to celebrate the Duchess of Cornwall’s birthday
The official account of Clarence House, the residence of the Prince of Wales and his wife, also published unpublished photos of the Duchess that were taken a month ago.
In the two photos Camilla can be seen smiling in a shirt dress printed in shades of blue, white and black, sitting at a table in the garden. In one of the images she appears with one of her pets, while in the other she is holding a cup of tea and a bowl of peaches from her own orchard.
Camilla has enjoyed her special day with a simple intimate dinner in the company of her daughter, Laura Lopes, and her son, Tom Parker Bowles and younger sister, Annabel Elliot.
Why did Camilla take the photos in her country house?
Camilla has a special attachment to her country house, which she took possession of after her divorce from Andrew Parker-Bowles in 1995. It is no secret to anyone that this residence was her refuge in the years she was harshly criticized for her relationship with Prince Charles.
After finally marrying Prince of Wales, Camilla asked him to continue to maintain this house. Charles agreed to the wish of the love of his life, who is currently preparing to become Queen Consort.
