Queen Elizabeth II’s announcement giving the go ahead for Camilla’s reign, the Duchess of Cornwall gave way to much speculation as to whether Prince William agreed with this decision.
The bad reputation that Camilla had when she was Prince Charles’ mistress while he was still married to Princess Diana is behind us. Now, the British people are on her side and accept that she becomes queen consort.

In addition to the British people, one of the people expected to comment on the Queen’s statement was Prince William. As published by the Daily Mail, the Duke of Cambridge, did not know of his grandmother’s statement and had not been part of the decision. However, she has shown her support for Camilla to become queen consort after the coronation of Prince Charles.
“The duke supports him,” a source close to William revealed to the British tabloid. “Her relationship with the Prince of Wales is better than ever,” the source said, “She doesn’t have a particularly close relationship with her stepmother, but they get along perfectly well. He also respects his grandmother and her judgment more than anything in the world. If it looks good to her, then it will look good to him,” the source commented on William’s opinion.
The relationship between Camilla and Charles’ children was not easy. At first, both William and Harry did not get along with her after the “fame” she cultivated for decades.
Robert Lacey, writer and author of the controversial book Battle of Brothers, which talks about William and Harry, revealed in his text that William and Carlos starred in shouting matches especially after the wedding of the Queen’s son to Camilla in 2005, she once came to confirm that Lady Di’s son “has a bad temper”.
However, everything seems to have been left in the past and Kate’s husband accepts his father’s relationship with the future Queen of England.
