During King Charles and Queen Camilla’s official visit to Kenya, there were moments that did not go unnoticed, such as the King’s stumble that came close to jeopardizing the rest of the visit, as well as Queen Camilla’s daring gesture toward her husband.
King Charles and Queen Camilla arrived in the African country for their state visit on October 31, 2023. They were received by President William Ruto at the State House in Nairobi.
Queen Camilla touches King Charles’ butt
One of the most talked about videos of this visit was when Queen Camilla, following in the footsteps of Kate Middleton, made a cheeky gesture with King Charles by caressing his bottom.
This moment was captured and shared on social media by several accounts of royal fans.
It all happened during the couple’s visit to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Elephant Orphanage in Nairobi National Park to learn about the Trust’s work to protect and conserve wildlife and protected areas in Kenya.

This gesture seems to be becoming more common among royals.
Recall that last July, during the coronation of Charles and Queen Camilla in Scotland, William and Kate visited St. Giles Cathedral in Edinburgh.
During the service, the Princess of Wales, Kate, playfully slapped her husband’s bottom and then whispered in his ear.
In February of the same year, Kate made a similar gesture during the 76th British Academy Film Awards.
As she walked the red carpet, Kate smiled and quickly slapped William’s bottom.
These bold and playful gestures seem to be part of the unique and laid-back style of today’s royals, generating both controversy and admiration among the public and fans of the British monarchy.
