In recent times, Princess Charlene of Monaco has shown a renewed facet in her public appearances. She is seen more cheerful, more approachable, and with an attitude completely devoted to every cause she supports.
This weekend was no exception, as she participated in the start of the last stage of the Tour de France in the Principality, where she surprised with a daring style and moments of complicity with Prince Albert.
Prince Albert and Charlene of Monaco at the Tour de France
The race, which took place in Monaco, was attended by the mayor of Nice and his wife, who served as hosts at the finish line.
The event was also supported by the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation, which is dedicated to helping the most vulnerable through sport. In addition, it was sponsored by several brands, one of which brought a touch of fun to the day.
This brand, known for its packaging inspired by the classic red and white vichy tablecloths, led the mayor of Nice and his wife to dress in keeping with their image.
Not wanting to be left behind, Prince Albert joined in on the theme by wearing a cute little plaid hat. It was Charlene who, amidst laughter and small efforts, took it upon herself to put it on, causing them to pose together for the photographers.
What was significant was not only the funny accessory, but the connection that Charlene and Alberto showed. Their spontaneous gestures and sincere smiles contrasted with the “sad princess” image once attributed to Charlene.
The seriousness that used to characterize the princess, often accompanied by palpable tension with her husband, has given way to a more relaxed and happy Charlene.
After overcoming an illness that kept her in her native South Africa for several months, and after receiving treatment at a mental health center, she seems to have emerged with a new perspective.
This transformation is also reflected in her personal style. She now prefers a more natural makeup and has lightened her hair, opting for a blonde that softens her features.
The princess has also surprised with new outfits in her recent public appearances, showing a penchant for jumpsuits as her favorite garment and for off-the-shoulder designs for special occasions.
Charlene continues to go for luxury brands in her wardrobe choices.

On this occasion, her standout ensemble included a centerpiece by Elie Saab.
It was the ‘Zebra’ top from the pre-fall 2024 collection, recently presented on the runway.
This asymmetrical design, with one shoulder exposed and a knot over the other, stands out for its maxi ruffle that descends almost halfway down the leg.
She paired this piece with white pants, Louis Vuitton sunglasses and Gianvito Rossi heels, achieving a ‘wild’ style that, while not common in Charlene’s closet, seems to indicate a bold statement on her part.
