Meghan Markle recently revealed her young son Archie’s unusual Christmas wish during an event in Montecito, California.
The 4-year-old ordered an expensive Leica camera, probably inspired by his parents’ close friend Misan Harriman.
Prince Archie’s Christmas gift
During a Q&A session after a screening of her friend Misan Harriman’s film “The After” in collaboration with Netflix, Meghan explained that Misan had been teaching Archie photography during his last visit.
This prompted Archie to ask for a Leica camera like the one Misan uses. However, Meghan laughingly told her son, “You are not getting a Leica! Not even for Christmas.”
“I bought Archie a camera, and he said, ‘But it’s not a Leica like Misan,’” The duchess commented.
The choice seems an interesting one given Archie’s father Prince Harry’s longtime discomfort with cameras due to his mother Princess Diana being hounded by paparazzi.
However, it seems Archie has found positive inspiration in Misan’s art. While he won’t be receiving the expensive Leica camera on his list.
In 2021, little Archie received a waffle iron as a Christmas gift from the late Queen Elizabeth II, Harry shared during an interview on “The Late Late Show.” That gift proved to be a hit, as Archie enjoys waffles and, according to Harry, wakes up in the morning asking for “waffle?”.
