A video of Prince Harry and actor Cillian Murphy has gone viral on social media.
During a casual conversation, the actor allegedly corrects the Duke of Sussex about his nationality. Although the video is quite clear, the exact nature of the conversation is totally different.
Social media users have taken advantage of the successful release of the movie “Oppenheimer,” starring Murphy, to post a hilarious video starring the actor and the prince.
Cillian Murphy and Prince Harry
In the video, Prince Harry allegedly says to Murphy in the debunked clip: “So you’re British?”
Mr Murphy then replies, “No I’m Irish”, before Harry adds: “Ah yeah, I know, British.” Murphy concludes: “No, no, no. I’m Irish. It’s a big difference.”
Some have speculated that the video may have been a joke or an improvisation for a future film project.
In the meantime, many have relished the opportunity to see Prince Harry teaming up with film industry figures.
However, what lies behind it is a far cry from what was captured in the video that has been viewed more than 2.4 million times, and retweeted and quoted tweeted 1,400 times.

The British newspaper Express pointed out that the video is fake and edited. The news outlet reported that the footage was taken from Harry and Murphy’s meeting with Harry in 2017 when they were on the red carpet at Dunkirk.
The audio was added later and was an interview of Cillian ,who was discussing in promotional clips for Inception alongside his co-star Tom Hardy in 2010.
It was the same user who posted the video who acknowledged that it is modified.
“I made the video this morning on CapCut and yes I stole the audio from that Tom Hardy Inception interview” confessed the user.
