The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, is totally focused on making the most of her participation in the Invictus Games 2025.
She and Prince Harry have had an incredible few days since the opening ceremony of this competition for veterans, which, for the first time since it began in 2014, includes winter sports.
The Invictus Games have taken Harry and Meghan to Canada, a significant place for them because it was their temporary refuge when they decided to start a new life away from the British royal family. Now, after five years of independence from the Crown, the couple has returned for this momentous event.
This year, the Invictus Games are being held in Vancouver and Whistler, near Vancouver. Harry and Meghan are enjoying the city, leaving us with endearing and romantic moments, such as photos of them kissing or Meghan visiting a school to read stories to the children.
Criticism of Meghan Markle at the Invictus Games
However, the criticism of Meghan has not been long in coming. Everything she does or says is scrutinized.
Recently, there have been comments about a gesture in which she helped a woman in a wheelchair to get comfortable for a photo, as well as about her attitude changes when she thinks there are no cameras recording.
Despite the criticism, Meghan Markle is enjoying these games, as she demonstrated on Monday evening at the welcoming ceremony, where her friend Michael Bublé performed.
Harry and Meghan took the stage, and in a funny moment, the prince joked to the crowd that Meghan was going to sing, which made her blush and sparked laughter among the attendees.
After this anecdote, the Duke and Duchess continued the festivities with beers and laughter. Meghan was very happy and chatty, beer in hand, as was Harry.
The Duchess’ relaxed attitude was also interpreted as a message toward her detractors, who are always on the lookout for anything to criticize her, and in the midst of the controversy over Donald Trump’s comments.
The U.S. president made a firm decision on Prince Harry’s visa and the alleged threat of deportation.
When asked if he would expel Harry from the country, Trump told the New York Post, “I don’t want to do that. I’ll leave him alone. He’s got enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible.”
