Prince William of Wales and Donald Trump were two of the prominent guests at the reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.
The iconic site, closed for five years due to devastating reconstruction following a fire that razed much of its historic structure, finally reopened its doors.
During the ceremony at the cathedral, William and Trump had the opportunity to meet.
Afterwards, the two headed to the British embassy in the French capital for a private meeting.

A video showing William smiling and shaking hands with the president-elect was shared on the X platform (formerly known as Twitter) by user BehizyTweets, and has accumulated nearly 2 million views and 46,000 “likes.”
In the clip, William can be seen looking warm as Trump pats him on the shoulder.
Another similar video, posted by BoLoudon, has garnered similar numbers of views.
After the ceremony, William and Trump met again at the British embassy, where they shared a greeting and then posed for a photo.
During the photo session, Trump, pointing to William, described him as “a good man” before engaging in a conversation that lasted approximately 40 minutes.
During their chat, they discussed the relevance of the U.S.-U.K. relationship, as well as various global issues.
According to a BBC report, the president-elect was unsparing in his praise for Prince William.
For its part, Kensington Palace described the meeting as “warm and friendly.”
Likewise, a Sky News report mentioned that Trump shared with William “some warm and fond memories” about his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
William’s body language also drew attention on the networks. One user on X went viral by posting a video of their meeting, commenting that “Prince William turned into a fanboy as soon as he saw President Donald Trump. The world knows the boss man is back.”

The affection is apparently reciprocated by the U.S. president.
Trump, in an interview with the New York Post, said, “He’s a very handsome man. Some people look better in person, and he looked great.”
In addition, he commented on William’s family, “I asked him about his wife, and he said she’s doing well. I also asked about his father, and he said his father is fighting very hard. He loves his father, and he loves his wife, so it’s a sad situation.”
Trump concluded, “We had a great talk—about half an hour, maybe a little longer. It was really wonderful.” During the photo shoot, Trump was recorded telling reporters that “he’s a good man” and that William was “doing a fantastic job.”
