Infanta Sofía Steps Up: Financial Support for Those Affected by Floods

The Infanta Sofia continues to help those most affected by the floods in Spain.

The floods in Spain, which have claimed the lives of more than 200 people, have deeply moved thousands who are ready to offer their support.

Among them is Infanta Sofia, the daughter of King Felipe and Queen Letizia, who, despite being far away, has not been absent and has expressed her concern for those affected.

From her school in Wales, the UWC Atlantic College, several initiatives have been launched to help those who have suffered the consequences of this tragedy.

According to reports in the Spanish media, Atlantic College has launched a solidarity project aimed at the victims of the floods.

This interesting initiative has been promoted by students and their families and includes several key elements, such as a relief fund, the management of donations, and financial support for those who need it most.

Among the solidarity actions, Infanta Sofia has decided to contribute with a financial donation.

According to media reports such as Monarquía Confidencial, the young woman has followed the example of her grandmother, Queen Sofía, and has made a monetary donation, as well as joined her companions in the aid project.

“We know that Infanta Sofia, in addition to participating in the action, has wanted to contribute financially; although it is a minimal donation, it holds a very important meaning,” says the aforementioned media outlet.

The school in Wales has also shared links so that other people can join the cause and help the victims. Infanta Sofia is well aware of the magnitude of this tragedy and is concerned about it, as is her sister, Princess Leonor.

Leonor has been very attentive to the news about the floods and was dismayed to see her parents dealing with the difficult situation in Valencia when mud was thrown at them.

For their part, King Felipe and Queen Letizia have plans to return to the affected areas.

“Being in the impacted places will be a constant in the future… It is an absolutely extraordinary experience, both professionally and personally,” the king said of his upcoming trips.
