Infanta Elena, sister of King Felipe, has returned to the public eye.
A few days ago she was photographed entering a hospital in Madrid to visit her mother, Queen Emérita.
Let’s remember that King Felipe’s mother had to be hospitalized due to an infection that kept her away from her duties for a while.
However, the 85-year-old Queen Emeritus has now made a full recovery.
So much so that she is currently in Poland, where she traveled to attend the new edition of the Alzheimer’s Disease International (ADI) Global Conference.
This meeting brings together experts in the field of Alzheimer’s disease, and Queen Sofia, international ambassador of ADI since 2018, usually actively participates in it.
Returning to Infanta Elena, 60, she attended an awards ceremony related to bullfighting, a passion she shares.
Infanta Elena’s look mistake
For the occasion, she chose a two-piece outfit: a blazer and trousers in orange cotton.
She accessorized with cream-colored stilettos with a black toe, an embroidered camel scarf and a gold brooch with burgundy details.
However, it was her handbag that became the center of attention during the ceremony.
In the middle of the event, Infanta Elena’s handbag fell to the ground.
Fortunately, a soccer player sitting next to her politely bent down to pick it up and help her.
As it fell face down, the padding of the bag revealed that it was the iconic Chanel 2.55.
The camel-colored bag with a double flap is made of lambskin and is valued at over $9,000.
Despite the awkward moment, the event continued as planned.
Once again, fashion and elegance intertwine with royal anecdotes.
